How to install the Mac App

1. Open the Installer

Download the installer and double-click to unzip it. Inside, you will find a file named Mini_Mod_Converter_Installer.dmg. Double-click this file to open the installation window.

2. Install the Application

When the new window appears, simply drag the MiniMod Converter icon and drop it onto the Applications folder icon. This copies the software onto your computer.

3. Grant Permission (If Prompted)

Because Apple prioritizes security, you may see a message stating the app cannot be opened. If this happens:

  • Open System Settings (or System Preferences).

  • Navigate to Privacy & Security.

  • Scroll down to the "Security" section and click "Open Anyway" to complete the setup.

4. Launch the App

You can now find MiniMod Converter in your Applications folder or via Launchpad. Open it to begin!

Tip: If you plan on converting videos often we recommend drawing the app to your dock. This way any time you need to convert a video simply drag it to the dock icon and done!

How to use the PC App

Step 1: Convert Your Video

To begin, locate the video you wish to convert. Drag and drop the file directly onto the app icon. The application will automatically process the file for you.

Step 2: Locate the Converted File

Once the conversion is complete, your new file will appear in the same folder as the original.

  • Original: LOGO.mp4 (Downloads folder)

  • Converted: LOGO.amv (Downloads folder)

Step 3: Connect Your Device

Plug your device into your Mac using a USB-C cable. Your device will appear on your desktop or in the Finder sidebar, just like a standard thumb drive or external hard drive.

Step 4: Transfer the Video

Drag and drop the new converted file (the .amv version) directly into the device’s drive window.

Note: You can delete any pre-loaded demo videos on the device if you need to free up storage space.

Step 5: Eject and Disconnect

Before unplugging the cable, right-click the device icon and select Eject. This ensures your files are saved correctly and prevents data corruption. Once ejected, you may safely disconnect the USB-C cable.

Step 6: Power On

Long-press the power button on your device to turn it on and enjoy your video!
